Technical Stuff

I am able to send out an email to just a few people to let them know when I have a new post but I know that some others of you might want to stay informed also. I have downloaded NewsGator's Feed Demon 2.7 (RSS Reader) to my computer. It puts a little icon in the bottom right hand corner of my desktop. When a blog that I subscribe to has a new post, a tiny envelope will appear on that icon. I then know that there is a new post on someone's blog - that way, I don't have to continually check back on the actual blog. This is called 'Subscribing to a blog'. It is not difficult and is nice to know when someone's blog has a new post. I have found Feed Demon to be very user friendly, so you might want to try it out!

I'm talking to you - yes, YOU.

How do I even put into words what I am feeling right now? We did get the call, saying that we have been approved to be re-appointed as career missionaries with the International Mission Board. Many people have asked us if we are happy. Really, that is a hard question. We have to first leave our families, our beloved church, great friends to answer a call to obedience that we cannot escape. We are rejoicing about the second chance to fulfill our call to missions that has long been pressed down and skirted about but oh, the heartache of having to leave our friends and family. First Baptist Church Buna, Texas - you will always be our church family. We love you more than you know.

Something that I have told a few friends lately: our obedience will directly affect many other people. Yes, that is you - you know who you are. Just as Jeff and I are called to missions, our children have specifically been called to be missionary kids. Just as Jeff and I have been called to missions, our families have been hand picked to be the parents and siblings of a missionary. Just as Jeff and I have been called to missions, you (wherever you are) have been called to obedience. We really are no different that you are. When God calls, you answer. It really is that simple. Are you doing what you have been called to do? It doesn't matter what that is - whatever it is, get out there and do it!

Scripture Memorization #4

Four Cuori Rosso by Roberta Ricchini

Then you will call out to me. You will come and pray to me. And I will listen to you. When you look for me with all your heart, you will find me. Jeremiah 29:12-13

THE Long Awaited Phone Call

We received our phone call yesterday. We have been officially approved for re-appointment to the International Mission Board. Our next step will be Appointment Week in Greenville, South Carolina: March 14-19, 2009.
We truly covet your prayers as we continue to travel this journey.

Beth Moore's Scripture Memory Challenge

Close-up of Colourful Planting of Annuals and Half Hardy Exotics, Alongside Gravel Path by Mark Bolton

I'm like five days late getting this verse out but here it is:
Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me for you are God my Savior and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:4-5

More Great Pictures!

I just wanted to share a post from The Rodgers' Tribe serving in Chongwe, Zambia. They recently did a ministry called 'Buckets of Love' that targeted those suffering with AIDS in Zambia. I thought that these pictures were so amazing that I wanted to high jack
